Subject: Re: Why VRS is better then single base RTK....

Fargo, ND
I logged elevation for an hour on August 26th on the Minnesota CORS network using a MoJo and the internal cell phone. I did this at my office in Fargo which is about 5 miles outside of the network area. The vertical error is generally twice what the horizontal error would be. In the graph you can see a plus or minus variation of about .05' from the average. I need to run a longer test and graph the horizontal variation as well.
I've been running a MoJo in my pickup for a couple of weeks and we also ran one in a JD hooked through GreenStar 2 to steer the tractor. We demo-ed it at the Big Iron farm show this week and it worked well. The farm show is about 8 miles out of the network. This past week Minnesota upgraded the network to include GLONASS coverage.
