Subject: Re: losing gps signal

I run a isolated buck/boost power supply on all my Trimble receivers. The 2 amp one on http://www.davidnavone.com/cart.asp?24&cat=2 has worked for me with similar problems with 332/132 receivers. Trimble "floats" the ground on my stuff, so running the ground to the battery helps. I will probably try a 12 converter from these people http://www.powerstream.com/ simply because of cost next time. I tried all kinds of things first, direct to battery (with power and ground), direct to alternator, extra small battery right at the receiver, nothing else worked. One spreader seems to be worse than the others. I never found out why, although that one does have more PWM driven hydraulics than the others.
