I'll second that. A cig lighter for a consistent power source is a really bad idea. Not only does it fail at the worst time, but it does so for such a minute period of time that you suspect everything but the power connection. I don't know who came up with the idea but like tedbear said on here at one point, a cig power source is only really any good for demonstration purposes. You don't have to hard wire it if you want to be able to move it though. There are connectors that are more reliable.
