Subject: RE: PTO Sense Switch

Central Louisiana
We did an external coverage logging switch on the PTO of a small New Holland tractor the other day. The PTO engage lever had a switch underneath the tractor, and all the switch did was light up a "PTO Engaged" light on the instrument panel. We tied a relay in on the back side (Switched side) of the switch, and used it to connect the two coverage logging wires coming out to the ez-guide 250. When the PTO was "engaged", it supplied 12 volts to the 12-volt relay, which, in turn, connected the coverage logging wires, and began coverage logging on the display. Something similar may work in your case.
