Narrow guge or wide? If narrow, I would go with outboard tanks. Wide guage, it is just a matter of choice but with outboard, the get pretty wide. They are, however pretty easy to remove. At 3000 hrs, if it hasn't had tracks replaced, they will most likely be about worn out. Also, the narrow tracks will probably be 16 in. If the tracks are worn out, I would allow about $10,000 for replacement with the Camoplast 3500 series. You can get these in 18 in. Front idler pivot and bushings are one thing to look for when checking it out. If you see any wobble in the front idler wheel when moving, they need replacing.
