Effingham, IL | I do some for a neighbor for 50 cents, but just because he's a neighbor. $.75 would be my thought. Anyway I saw a one year old Hoelsher accumulater and forks advertised for $10k add another $5-10k for a baler and then need a loader for the forks. Figure in fuel, labor, twine, insurance, depreciation, repairs, and a place to store it 50 cents looks like a bargain to me. Then again I like being able do it myself, when the hay is ready. I'd say if a guy baled 5-10,000 per year you could justify a good used baler and accumulater. Everyone situation is different, it seems most posters on this site can do most repairs themselves which makes machinery dollers go a long way. Craig | |
