Monitor summary reports what was accumulated and logged in the monitor, using the algorithms built into the monitor.

Spatial data summary is generated by running through every GPS logged site on the desktop computer, and calculating area, yield, quanity, etc.   Those numbers have always been different, as the spatial data summary may try to filter out some values that the monitor doesn't, or the calculations might be just a little different.   They should be close, but will not match.
