With a 4 row CH, along with 30 years agos yields, Id say not keeping the rotor full would account for the corn loss. From what we saw in our area, the 1460 had the best balance of power to capacity of the era Axialflows. The first 1480s were terribly underpowered in muddy or tough conditions. Tom
