| Back in 78 FIL bought a 1440. Never could get that combine to work right.
4rw corn, and that thing would puke corn out the back. Dealer would come out and set the sieves and before he got in his truck it would puke corn again.
FIL plugged that thing in every crop but soybeans.
It didn't have enough power to go up a moderate road grade without downshifting.
Fil ran conventials for many years and was a good operator, could set up a combine, buut this one had everyone stumped.
He traded for a Gleaner F3 and was happy again. Took a big loss. In those days rotaries had no resale.
