Subject: JD F935 Mower Elec. Clutch Troubles (Blowing Fuses)

Manitoba
We have an older F935 mower that will blow the 25 amp fuse within 5 to 20 min. of starting to mow. Got advice on here that its likely the elec. clutch that engages the mower. Rick B said to test the power that the clutch is drawing. How do you do that? I have multimeters that test amps, but can you put that much current through them? He also said to check the air gap. Is that just the gap between the two sides of the clutch when its off? Thanks.
