just a tish NE of central ND
I currently have a 50 watt radio that is mounted in the wifes Chevy lumina. when you key the mic, the tachometer drops to 300 RPM's.......Havent cured that problem yet ,It is just an annoyance. My wife had a 85 pontiac sunbird once with a 1.8 liter 4 cyluinder with a 5 speed./ With a 45 watt radio mtd. in it.If the antenna nut happened to wiggel loose so the coax was not tight it would drop the cars power way down....if you were traveling at 65 and would key the mic and talk, you drop to 45 mph in short order. It seemed to make the computer retard the timing on the engine.Tighten the fitting and all was well again.
