Where Lewis and Clark finished the rum | well we cut with 2 machines and often times cut around and around, instead of back and forth, which is how we seed and spray. The field width turns out not to be an integer number of header widths, so we spent a lot of time nudging when moving from one side to another. With a 1 or 2 ft width, the nudge issue is pretty insignificant, since there is always an AB line close to the line we want. We just nudge up to the last pass, and off we go. Still gotta get the AB lines in two (or more machines) pretty darned close.
BTW - We went back to 29 ft swath width on JD 930 headers yesterday, and with pretty good results, using EZGuide+, WAAS. Seems like we need to nudge over a foot ish when we start a new panel.
Anyone have other strategies that work well?? |
