I have noticed that sometimes the android apps have to be uninstalled and then reinstalled to get the updates. This is just for apps in general that seem to be not working so well after a few updates. Since all of my apps are free this does not cost me anything. I also uninstall apps that do not allow me to stop notifications, etc.
