| On Sat June 28th I attended the Golden Harvest Day Show.It was held on the Esbenshade Farm near Achille,OK.Admission was free and everyone got a show button.It was well worth the 400 mile drive to see 10 old combines in action.
Show host Jim Esbenshade in the lead on a 21-A Massey.He owns all the combines that are pictured.A film crew was there and this may be on RFD TV.It was 2 years ago.
An early 55 JD with some carb problems.
Bub Robbins from Pomona,KS on the Super 27 Massey.
Slick 1000 Case running on LP.
73 yr old Carl Eichenberger from Pomona,KS on a rare T Gleaner.Less than 500 were built and I'm fortunate to have one.This T Gleaner was the slickest running combine there.Carl has one back in Kansas.
101 IH being driven by the son of the former owner.
Lever steer 91 IH.
AC and Gleaner man Joe Graunke from Minn on a 26 Massey.
Nice running 125 McCormick
M Farmall on a 52R McCormick combine.He broke a belt and was heading for the end of the field.
The 90 Special Massey wouldnt stay running so had to be parked.
A 35 Massey in the yard.
The 100 AC wouldnt start so stayed in the yard.
All lined up for pictures and to work on several combines.
They did lots more than combine.Heres a nice 1456 IH on a potato harvester.I just missed seeing it in action.
Nice 1900 Oliver from Tyler,TX on a JD 5 bottom plow.
720 JD plowing deep on a 4 bottom JD plow.
1468 IH V-8 from Texas playing with a 4 botom spinner plow.
Slick 30-60S Oil Pull that powered a Avery thresher that afternoon.
Hi-Crop G JD.
A Farmall on the wheat binder.
An A JD ready to bale some hay with a side tie JD.
F-30 on 3x14's.
Slick 650 IH on LP.
400 Farmall on the corn binder.
JD 720 on a Papec silage chopper.
Smaller Oil Pull on a stationary silage chopper.
Huber LC tractor.
400 Farmall on a white top AC baler.
I took 175 pictures but had better stop here.It was a fun filled day with much to see and do.
