Kansas
I too have been considering a building this fall but I am wondering, at 8 dollars a foot are you talking a pole shed with galvenized barn tin on the outside or something like a morton?

Personally I always felt concrete is for shops only. Maybe the landing going into a building so it's not blowing out from mud going in and out. Other than that though, Dads is all dirt, the one I aquired where I live is all concrete. Pain in the rear to sweep. Cracked from a heavy wheat truck spending the night in there. Just for a plain ole storage shed a dirt floor is fine with me too.

But, I'm curious as to what kind of building you are looking at.

Oh, and the way it was explained to me. Figure up what you need for a storage shed. Now double it and build it. You'll have it filled sooner than you think. I personally don't know that doubling is going to be the case in all scenario's but I'm sure increasing the size a drastic amount over what you figure is probably not such a bad idear.
