Talked to my local injector shop. He seems to thinks this would work on a 8960 but not on an 8970. Just to make sure it was a 8970 and not a 8960 you converted. Would you have to cummins part number handy for the top of the pump you added to make it a mechanical system. Local injector shop claims you have to change the entire pump to convert a 8970 to mechanical.
