Western Ky. | I have an older Ford truck grain truck that has taken up space in a shed for the last 7 years or so. Recently we removed the bed to be used as a bed on a wagon running gear. The problem now is what to do with the truck. Local scrap iron recyclers are paying $120 a ton for scrap trucks and cars. The truck will weigh about 8000 lbs. without the bed making a scrap price of $480. The nearest scrap buyer is 10 miles away on a major hiway. Does anyone have an idea of how to safely move it to the recycler. I don't have a trailer big enough to haul it on. Towing it behind another truck is not an option as there are no brakes on the truck. | |
