South Central Kansas | Cutting dry, ripe wheat here, the air filter on our 1998 2388 has been plugging at least twice a day. Combine coughs and almost dies, then belches out black smoke. If we're lucky we can get back to the truck and blow the filter out.
The circular brush and the cutoff brush on the air screen are in very good condition. I replaced the straight brush last season.
We put in new fuel filters so I don't think that's part of the problem.
I know there was a thread on here a few months ago, can't seem to find it now. Any ideas appreciated. We never had any trouble with our old 1480 plugging the air filter. | |
