Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND | The IH sieve system depends on those bushings being at 75% or better to prevent flexing and cracking of the sieves and shoe/chaffer rails.
Like a fellow IH combine owner said" changing those bushings often(2000 hrs) is like changing a baby, If you don't do it, things get nasty in a hurry".
Attached is pictures of bushings I changed that visually looked perfect, but in reality had not more than 50% contact of metal and rubber parts.
The shiny parts are where there was no support, only the dull gray portions were still doing the job, only 50% or less.
