| the shaker bushings went out in our 1480 about halfway through wheat harvest. it tore the top/bottom screen up, the hangers for both, the pan that the clean grain slides down to the auger, and some of the arms on the outside that the bushings go in.
my question is can we weld the frame around the screens back up? they are both broken on the same side, but it is just one side? i have heard no way and i have heard no problem. which is it?
we are cotton farmers turned grain farmers so sorry if the terms are incorrect.
not checking on the bushings is a rookie mistake i guess, i wont let it happen again. it sure doesnt take long for all hell to break loose.
