Subject: 2% bio-diesel blend for older engines.?

Hi. I recall some talk in the past about using bio-diesel at like about 2% or so for regaining some lubrication in the fuel. Most of the engines here are 70s and 80s year models. A few smaller newer ones, but I would like to put something back into the fuel. Can I get by with 2% or so? I'm in a non-gel climate, and I will use the blended stuff before it sits too long. What do you think? I will have to do the blending myself as the company we buy from requires me to take the full truck load if I have them blend it. This is all red off road fuel.
Thanks.
