| Locally, we have a Big R store that sells bolts by the pound. I put together bolt of assortments og grade 5, grade 8, fine thread & metric out of what they carry. Our CIH dealer also sells grade 5 & 8 bolts by the pound and buy from them as well. I also stock an assortment of carriage bolts, sweep bolts and grade 5 & 8 ready rod. Luckily I had several bolt bins on hand to hold the bolts
One thing about putting your own sets together is that you can buy different sizes according to the amounts you use. Generally the larger sizes I only buy 4 or 5 in each length to have on hand. When I run low I make a bolt run & stock up. | |
