Subject: RE: pole sheds

Boone, Iowa
We have three Morton buildings on our farm and would buy another one without hesitating. At first, they seem higher priced. I started comparing apples to apples and the pricing gets really close. The Morton has scissor or raised roof trusses. This gives more room inside the building through the middle of the building. On our 16 ft sidewall building, the bottom of the trusses are 17 1/2 ft, giving another 1 1/2 ft of headroom. The alumasteel sliding doors are really nice. Also, where the sliders are installed in a 16 ft sidewall, the doors are 16 ft tall. This is done by installing a steel I-beam header across the door opening. Instead of setting the trusses on top of the header and losing the opening height from the width of the header, Morton sets the trusses in pockets on the side of the header. There are a lot of other small details that I am impressed after watching them build our last building that has our shop in part of the building.
