 Anything smaller than a bunny gets run over because it's usually too small to see.  Bunnies, fawns, etc don't get run over.  Things like mice and snakes go into the harvester and up the belts unhurt to the back to be sorted out by the fellow on back.  If he's squeamish they stay in the boxes until they crawl out.  Hard to tell how many mice etc the flailmowers take out.
