| I was wondering if anyone on here happens to have one of these smaller trucks with the 5 cyl engine? One of our vehicles is in the shop and the loaner they gave us was a Ford Explorer Sport Trac. I think they did this on purpose as the wife thinks this is a great vehicle. We were looking to trade anyway but was looking at a car (long before $4 gas) that I keep putting off buying. I am more of a GM/Dodge man so I was wondering how these trucks have done for others. Is the gas mileage close to what they say? According to the KBB website it says 17/22. Is that close? How's the backseat? It doesn't look like much fun for a big fella like me would want to ride for long but the kids should be OK? This vehicle is strictly for wife to and from work and the kids to school. We have other vehicles for long trips so a lot of room for long trips is not necessary but I would like to be comfortable enough to go to town in, which is a 30 mile trip to the "big city". Thanks in advance for any input.
