Sunnyside, WA | I think one of the main reasons for the pricing is that they have built a dealer network in Iowa and try to sell everything through a dealer if possible in Iowa. Out of Iowa is a direct sale, so the "list price" protects the Iowa dealers.
I don't think its any different that all other farm equipment. I've never paid list price for any piece of equipment yet. Parts is a little different, but all it takes is a phone call to the 1-800 number to get the price.I would think it gives them a little extra room since books seem to be printed once per year and prices change almost daily anymore. Makes you feel better to call and get a "discount" than have to find out you are paying a "fuel surcharge" or whatever the proper term is lately. | |
