Spend your money on a good vise. Magnetic chucks work good on surface grinders where the work is run the length of chuck. I worked as a tool and die maker several years and never used one on anything other than a grinder. As far as chips sticking to it most will fall off or be lose enough when you release the chuck to wipe off.
Magnetic chuck....anyone know about them?
