Try and run your feed accelerator on slow. The pulleys are under the right side of the cab (sitting in the seat). You probably will notice that the pulleys are better balanced for size at the slow speed. We find that they slip less at that speed, much more durable. As sakeller said, watch your concave settings. Grain thrashes grain. Too tight a concave robs power and chews straw.
