How to set corn head-high ears

..........I had a conventional hybrid like that last year. Worried me sleepless every time a storm would roll through but I think it would have stood all winter the way things turned out. I went to take a moisture check early in the fall and was at first aghast that there were no ears. The blasted things were there, they were just over my head. Having said all that, we ran the header at our normal height. We did slow the head speed down to keep the ears from whipping around as much. This was not a no till situation and your needs may vary but I am not big on running the cornhead in transport position. Probably a mental thing on my part but I like the points just off of the ground no matter whay height the corn is.
