I hear you. We have hay barns in CA ranging from 1-9 miles into CA from OR. Every sensible state around us allows trains (105,500lbs gross) but not CA. So when you sell hay here that goes north it is always in an issue. We finally got the county to give us a permit to allow us to run them into CA to load hay so long as they stay on the county roads. Last winter we were towing pup trailers out seperate, moving hay into barns we have in OR, basically a bunch of screwing around because states can't agree on this stuff. And CA is the worst, they complain about trucks on the roads and the air pollution, but then limit everyone to hauling 80,000. Going to 105,500 like everyone else would mean fewer trucks, but what do I know.
