Subject: Case IH 1200 planter with Pro600 monitor not communicating

West Central MN
We have had a CaseIH 1200 planter for several years and this year we are going to use the Pro600 monitor for it.

We are using a 2008 CaseIH Steiger 335 as the pull tractor and also adding the CaseIH Accuguide Auto-Steer system this year as well. The tractor came with the factory installed ISO harness to the back of the tractor.

Dealer came out and updated all software in the monitor and also the firmware on the planter so everthing should be using the most up to date operating systems available.

At first the they could not get the tractor and planter to communicate at all. Would get MIU, MCC1 and MCC2 faults and nothing would work on the planter. Dealer has been messing around trying many, many things while constantly on the phone to CaseIH. They have even reinstalled all of the software at least two times.

Currently, they have got to the point where the tractor and planter WILL communicate (although I don't really think they know how they got that to happen) only problem now is that if you shutoff the tractor and restart it all of the error messages will come up again and nothing will work. The fix for this currently is that if you unplug the planter from the ISO harness at the rear of the tractor and plug it back in while the tractor is off everything will start up okay.

Anybody have any ideas what the problem may be??? Dealer seems to be out of ideas and complains that CaseIH hasn't really been any help. They have been working on this for almost two weeks now. Still to cold and wet up here in Minnesota otherwise we would be almost done with corn planting by now. Would like to have this issue solved before we hit the field.
