ND | I would use the GS2 if you want to do any variable rate applications. If you want to use the old brown boxes you will need map based prescriptions unlock on your KEYCARD. I believe its around $800. The GS2 requires no unlock code for map based prescription. I do variable rate planting and autosteer with my current setup and it works great. You will not get away from 2 displays in the cab because you will want the GS2 for your autosteer and variable rate setup information, and the greenstar display for all your planter display stuff. I don’t know how complicated of prescriptions you are planning on using but drawing some polygons over the top of a yield map in APEX is not really hard. If you are looking to do more complex prescriptions Ag Data Viewer or EasiSuite would be some other options and they both can write prescriptions to a GS2. Good Luck
