| Hard for me to believe that we will be as high last last year's corn planting progress number. We were 3% done last year on APRIL 8, and that was with Kentucky 26% done, Missouri 12%, and Tennessee 47%. Even Ohio was 1% done! Hard to believe that ANY of those states will be close to those levels this year on APRIL 13!!!. I would put the national number at 2% done (which, by the way, will compare with the 5-year average that is either six or seven percent, not nine).
FYI...we were 9% done in 2007 on April 20, with the 5-year average at 17%
We were 20% done last year on April 27; 5-year average will be 34%. | |
