Here in this area of Montana it has been determined that for 14% protien you need 3 1/2 lbs of N total for every expected bushel of yield. Thus 50 bu. wheat =175 lbs of total N needed . Most years protien discounts are quite steep . This past year it didn't seem to mater . Old Supply Demand laws kicking in .
You need to know what is in the soil to know what or howmany units to add. Again your local Reaearch Station or County Agent would have the data you need for your area . | |
