NC IA | My guess is you have a bad/weak o-ring in a spool valve, and it is running down (under the seat) and then under the platform. Not too bad of a job to pull the spool and replace the o-rings.
On red tractors that run orbit motors alot, I have taken the toplink bracket off and drilled a 3/4" pipe threaded hole in them, then screwed a female pioneer coupler into it. It gives a free-flow dump for the return oil from the orbit motor.
As far as your PTO, I'd say its a separate problem. The PTO has its own self-contained pump, with a suction tube. There is a seal on the suction tube (above the oil level) where it turns and goes into the PTO pump. That seal is probably hard and lost its seal, thus sucking air and losing its prime. Youll have to pull the PTO unit out to fix that. A possible temporary fix is to over-fill it 5 gal of hyd. oil. | |
