It doesn't take a lot of HP to run an auger that size but what you need to do is get an idea of GPM of your pump when the truck motor is running at the intended speed. Then buy the motor with the displacement that will run your auger at ~ 700 RPM. I have several 6" drill-fill augers running off the hoist pumps on my single axle trucks. I can get you a model number if you'd like, but if you have a monster pump on the semi, they will run too fast for you. |
