Subject: RE: Kinze bean brush meters and "Jellybeans"

Central Indiana
Kinze makes a 48 cell bean plate which we are being forced to use this year because of BIG (2200 seeds per pound) beans. I have never run these big plates before, but our 60 cell bean plates don't like beans bigger than 2700 seeds per pound. I have talked with several Kinze Reps about this issue. I asked why they didnt make a 54 cell plate to split the difference or do something to help the problem. They all looked at me like I was stupid. Said that they have not heard of this problem and should switch to the 48 cell plate. Yet they are not in the field to lift those damn heavy boxes (with box extensions) off to change the plates when I switch varieties. Not to mention the time it would take one man to do that. I like our 2 Kinze 3600's but I don't blame anyone for going with the Deere planter. I hope somebody from Kinze reads this. Oh by the way..............make a break away for your MARKERS!!

Scott
