Seriously, I don't think I have ever replaced a "worn out" rear tractor tire. I'll run any tractor tire as long as they hold air. Weather or age always gets them first for me.

I'm sure if you wanted to you could measure tire slippage over a stretch of ground by measuring both the circumference of the tire and the distance covered. Mark the tire and have someone count the wheel revolutions over the given distance to calculate wheel slippage.

If you think your tires are prematurely worn, is your tractor ballasted correctly for the load? That's something to consider to get the most life out of the next set of tires. IMO, radials would be the way to go also.
