Jim,

I don't believe John's planter is a CCS model from pictures I've seen. All of Bauer's toolbars are drawbar pull. Also, as far as adjusting the wing wheels go, there are no real adjustments on our planter (2005 model) or newer ones that I've seen. There's about 1/4" of thread adjustment on the "yoke" on the end of the cylinder rod, but that's all you can do. Installing donuts will only raise the wings up farther off of the ground.

As you know, we had the same experience as "AS" did in that we needed to install weights + already having the markers on CCS models when running in our hard no-till conditions. The guys that are running behind field cultivators have not had an issue if they've got markers. I'm hoping that our 24r30 will not need weights. The first year we didn't have the weights installed and getting the planter adjusted to do a satisfactory job was a nightmare. Last year we were completely satisfied.
