Thanks Mac Reidel for publishing this one. We go back to Extension days, really nice fellow and good scientist. Dave we live in one of the SCN capitals and winter annuals really cost us money. Poor mans cover crop it is called here. We are also soybean country so I was glad to see the huge switch to corn last year. Spray after the combine and plant a real cover crop like annual ryegrass which can cause the SCN to hatch too soon, freeze and die. Mike Plummer, SIU.
