Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | We have used them in the past and never found any that accurate. Some other hay growers in the area I know have tried them with the same results. It is more of an issue baling at night with the dew coming in as the hay is getting wetter, as opposed to baling after dawn when it is getting drier. At night I watch the tires. If the tires start getting shiney in the headlights it is time to get out and check and probaly be done for the night.
The ones we used went in the bottom of the chamber and I always thought that any little bit of honeydew that built up on them would throw the readings off. | |
