That's right when looking at BW, lower the number the better. Calving Ease (CE) the number before birthweight is a better indicator and the higher the number the better. There are to many variables with actual birthweight to be accurate. If the cow was feed a hotter ration, age of the cow, and how long the gestation was. Calf born a week later will be a lot heavier than a week prior.
