CND, here is a link to some good info on streamer bars.

I am not sure where you are located, your soils or your yield goal, so making specific N recommendations is difficult. With that said, most, if not all of my clients to split their N on winter wheat. This practice reduces losses, improves standability and offers better potential of judging plant health to make a more accurate total N rate recommendation. Its another pass across the field I recognize, but with +/- $10.00 wheat and +/- 60c N, the pass works out to be one of the most cost effective decisions for the season.

Regarding the total rates applied with stream bars, I have guys that apply from 20lb to as much as 120lb/ac of N in liquid form in one pass - depending on the region, the split N ratio and wheat yield potential. Many sprayers are limited by pump capacity, especially when applying single shots of N to 100 bu/ac+ wheat.

You asked about pressure, I recommend 20-50psi pressure ranges with stream bars, if you go much higher than 50psi, you can get leaf scorch similar to what guys get with 3/5 hole nozzles - which is not good.

Here is a link to a handout which accompanied a presentation I gave at the NTOTP conference this past February. It discusses N rates in more detail.
