You are correct. The saying is to plant potatoes on Good Friday. You realize the reason for that is actually you are planting by the phase or sign of the moon. Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox (first day of Spring). So in essence you are planting your potatoes early Spring in the light of the moon.
