Not here! If they came up at all you'd be frost protecting every night until the middle of May. We actually had a lot of frost nights this year in June even, some of my friends grow spuds and they where getting real tired of being up all night so often.
May 1st is plenty early here, most are in around Mother's Day.
Potatoes are suppose to go in on Good Friday, Right
