Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | I think/hope so. We'll cut acres. Supply for '09 should be tighter than it is now even with trendline yields. Last year corn dropped from the $4.00 range down in the lower $3.00 range until after harvest this past fall. Looks like we could see that repeat.
Lower prices actually will keep demand going. We were going to hurt a lot of endusers with $5.00 or more corn for a year. Now they will have a chance to buy at some lower prices and use up more bushels. |
