| It seems that the wet winter hurt us around here w/ erosion as well--this comes from the flatest county in IL(Douglas co has 100' of difference between the highest and lowest point). Tilled and no-tilled(not many of these) seem to be affected. I believe our biggest problem was the freezing and thawing we saw. The frost layer was consistently moving from the top of the ground to 4-5" deep. The water(snow that was thawing) couldn't get into the ground and the top 4" were saturated, so the water just moved horizontally rather than vertically. Just a thought. | |
