I have installed an ATU on an 8000 series tractor and it steered really nicely. I know that when ATU's first came out they weren't recommended for rtk but I don't know alot about the new unit. I would think if you install the ATU you can demo it for awhile and see how you like it. Go out and drive some lines with some sort of implement in tow, shouldn't matter a whole lot what it is but the unit will steer different pulling something than just standing alone. Then after a week or whenever it works out run out there and drive that same line and see how it holds. I would think a dealer would work something like that out with you and if your not satisfied with it you can go to the integrated steering. I would guess the integrated will be the best but I've never used an ATU on rtk.
