Henry Co. Tenn
I am in Henry Co. TN and 2/3rd's of my beans will be double crop. Stayed with 75% Ra knowing approx price is $32. As far as corn I changed from 75% Ra to 75% CRC to keep price in the $23 range. There is no GRIP corn in Henry but there is GRP (county avg. based set price) 2008 GRP in Henry is a trigger of 119.6bu/ac, coverage of $747.56, and cost of $14.67. The 2007 yield was 96bu/ac. I needed and still need to know my total coverage $$$ per acre to try to match cash flow. However, starting with T yield on most of corn ground, I would go GRP if available, or maybe a 65% to 70% CRC. (I do know CRC cap of $1.50) Hope this helps some.
