Subject: tennessee crop insurance.... still havent decided here either!!!

west Tennessee
What a decision!!!!!!!!!

Scenario #1 no history on the farms to be planted to corn for this year as they have always been planted in cotton. Will have to take T yield of 100 bushels per acre. Expected production around 140 - 170 bushels per acre . 70-75 % Ra will only guarantee half of my production and cost me $34.00 & $46.00 respectively
I feel its almost impossible to make less than 70 bushels on my best bottom land.... Grip is not available in my county on corn

Cat coverage will cost me .08 cents per acre
50% RA willl cost $13.50 per acre

Scenario # 2

Soybeans.... One third of my soybean acres will be double crop behind wheat, they insure just the same as full season beans here.
Makes me think need coverage !!!!!!
75% Ra will run me $32.00 per acre and guarantee $301
70% Ra will run me $23.00 per acre and guarantee $281
65% Ra will run me $19.00 per acre and guarantee $261

Grip although it looks good, because of my wheat beans, I expect I may well have an actual loss and would like to have MY OWN coverage

Whats everyone else in my situation doing????
